Chute Boxe Academy
Early
The Chute Boxe team first made a name for themselves in the world of MMA during the 1990's in promoting vale tudo in Brazil known as the inferior vena cava. With an aggressive and physical style centered around a muay thai skills, Chute Boxe fighters captured three of the four title belts on promotion (Wanderlei Silva won the light heavyweight belt, Jose Landi-Jons winning the middleweight belt, and Rafael Cordeiro win the lightweight belt). The promotion ended up serving as a springboard for the Chute Boxe team (Like many other Brazilian MMA stars) in the MMA lucrative Japanese market. To Chute Boxe in particular that would help launch his career in PRIDE FC in Japan.
PRIDE FC Dynasty
The main gear of the machine Chute Boxe Wanderlei Silva in PRIDE was. Known for an exciting style, complete with screams and stomps knees somersault, which are exemplified Chute Boxe style of martial arts in the middleweight division in PRIDE and finally winning the 2003 PRIDE FC Middleweight Grand Prix and the title of PRIDE FC middleweight would be valid for 6 years.
Coming off a disappointing decision loss in three rounds to Tito Ortiz at UFC 25: Ultimate Japan Silva PRIDE again to gain the most victory of his career to that point in the Lion Den Guy Mezger. It would be 20 fights and more than four years before they lose again in a controversial decision superheavyweight Mark Hunt. During this period notable fighters Kazushi Sakuraba knocked out (three times), Quinton Jackson ampage (twice) and Yuki Kondo.
His aura of invincibility wouldn actually broken until a decision loss to Ricardo Arona in 2005 PRIDE FC middle weight Grand Prix. His loss would be avenged later that night by his partner Team mate and rising star, Mauricio Rua Hogun.
Enter the Rua brothers
As the oldest of the Rua brothers, Murilo Rua had inja an impressive during his years with PRIDE FC. Wins over Mario Sperry, Alexander Otsuka Akira Shoji and established him as a respectable competitor in the organization. His brother less Mauricio "Shogun" Rua also be in the PRIDE Fighting Championships and would be the most successful game produced by Wanderlei Silva at Chute Boxe and guidance Ninja.
Murilo under in about a year and a half, Hogun has defeated a list of fighters that as yborg Evangelista Santos, Akira Shoji, Akihiro Gono ampage Jackson, Alistair Overeem (twice), Antonio Rogerio Nogueira inotoro, Ricardo Arona, Kevin Randleman, Mark Coleman, and Chuck Liddell. His exciting style, fan use includes much of the work standard of the Chute Boxe Muay Thai clinch, knees, stomps and soccer kicks.
The rivalry with Brazilian Top Team
The opposite number in terms of Brazilian dominance in PRIDE FC was the Brazilian senior team to be composed, at the time of the fighters like Antonio Rodrigo inotauro Nogueira, Ricardo Arona and Murilo Bustamante. Competition between the two teams is limited to just the Pride scene however. Matches between fighters of both organizations had in Brazil, Portugal and other parts of the world before, but perhaps the most interesting chapter of the rivalry took place on August 28, 2005 at PRIDE 2005 FC mean weight Grand Prix.
The 2005 PRIDE FC middle will be the first Grand Prix racing and for newcomers and biking Mauricio Rua Ricardo Arona. Both scored impressive victories over highly regarded veterans Alistair Overeem and middleweight champion Wanderlei Silva, respectively. Arona's victory was the second to fan the flames of rivalry, because Silva had hitherto been the standard bearer for Chute Boxe. Later that night, however, picked up the torch Hogun a KO background dominates the first of Arona, in the end, it finished in the soil which is considered the strength of Arona.
Another highlight of this period is that shortly thereafter out of the promising perspective of Anderson Silva. Silva had taken note of several disputes with the Chute Boxe management as reasons for leaving the team and recently began training with some of the best in Brazil best team in the Nogueira brothers. He was quoted in an article by ESPN as saying that forming friendships with their former rivals helped save his career in his departure from Chute Boxe.
The rivalry with the team Hammer House
Chute Boxe was involved in a melee near the team Hammer House, which began in the Pride 31 after a clash erupted between members of Chute Boxe Wanderlei Silva and Murilo Rua, and hammer equipment Chamber members Mark Coleman and Phil Baroni. The conflict began after Coleman aside the referee tried to stop it from attacking an injured Mauricio "Shogun" Rua. Coleman's outburst could be due to the Chute Boxe members enter the ring. Despite this, Silva and other Chute Boxe members attacked Coleman in the ring, took Baroni Wanderlei Silva to the ground and had to be content with one foot placed on his head. After the event, the antidote tried apologizing to Chute Boxe, but the apology was not accepted. The rivalry continued at UFC 93 vs Franklin Herrera, Mauricio Rua, Chute Boxe but had left at that time. Mauricio "Shogun" Rua will face the antidote in the main event for the second time to answer any questions about how the first fight may be over. The fight would be a comeback fight for Shogun, who came a disappointing defeat in their last fight. Instead of dominating the fight, Shogun had difficulties visible in the fight. He looked exhausted after the first round. Coleman was doing well with your opinion and downs of ground and pound. However, the determination Rúa took the fight to the third round, where he eventually lost by Coleman technical knockout at 4:45 seconds. Shogun and Coleman showed respect to each other after the fight (who won the fight of the night) and Coleman expressed interest after the fight against Shogun to last. Shogun quelled any questions brought to light by his mediocre performance in his next fight when he knocked out former champion light heavyweight UFC and mixed martial arts legend, Chuck Liddell.
Post-Pride
With the demise of PRIDE FC in late 2007, coinciding with the release of their first mass-appeal superstar Wanderlei Silva at the same time, Chute Boxe entered a new era. Moreover, the official announcement of the brothers de la Rua, Mauricio and Murilo, Thiago Silva and Andre heading "Dida" Amade from Chute Boxe also hastened the demise of the team that has dominated recent history of the MMA. More worrying for the team, the proposed addition of the now deceased Evan Tanner was short lived when the fight left the team after a few months.
However, there is some reason for optimism about up and coming fighters like heavy weight Junior Dos Santos Silva and Jean and the recent addition Strikeforce heavyweight contender Fabricio Werdum (99 kg ADCC Champion, 2007) has increased its talent. Moreover, the success of women in combat Cristiane "Cyborg" Santos in promotions such as EliteXC and Strikeforce more recently (which holds the first belt promotion of women's championship) now makes more than his match commercial.
